Ben Pulham is the founder of Coached, a heart rate training programme that helps you optimise, track and enjoy your training.
A former elite triathlete who has represented New Zealand at Triathlon World Championships, World Cups and in the Olympic Trials, Ben is a sought after endurance coach who has worked with thousands of athletes and many global brands including Under Armour, Nike, P&G, Apple, Standard Chartered, Facebook, Cisco and BMW.

Ming is an avid runner who joined Coached as a member in 2016. He ran his first marathon in 2017 (5:01:28) and has now completed 7 half marathons, 2 30K’s, and 6 full marathons to date, lowering his personal best marathon time to 3:48:31.
As a former Project Manager with a background in Engineering, Ming is data-driven in how he views the sport. He seeks to bring insights and meaning to numbers and trends to assess how training is progressing. Ming also has a particular understanding of runners who may not have come from an athletic background and is excited to share everything he has learned.

FAQ: All Your Questions Answered
Are there any prerequisites to join the training sessions?
There are no prerequisites to join our group run sessions. Just come with an open mind and a willingness to meet new people and do the work. The majority of our runs are guided by heart rate so it will be your heart rate that determines your running pace, not a predefined pace group.
I am a member of Coached online training. Can I get a discounted rate on group training sessions?
Yes, login to Coached and visit your membership page for a link to book your group sessions at the discounted rate.
What time do the runs start?
The sessions start at 7 pm sharp. Please arrive by 6:50 pm to get checked in and prepare for the training to begin.
Where exactly at the Botanic Gardens do you meet?
We meet next to the carpark in front of Fusion Spoon Restaurant. The address is Singapore Botanic Gardens, Tanglin Gate, 1 Cluny Road, #B1-00, Singapore 259569.
Where exactly at Gardens By The Bay South do you meet?
We meet approximately 50m to the right of Floral Fantasy (when MBS is at your back). If you are coming by train, alight at Bayfront and it’s about a 5 minute walk. If you are driving, you enter the carpark from Marina Blvd and it is a short walk to the meeting point from the carpark.
What happens in the event of bad weather?
Unless the weather poses a health and safety risk, for example lightening, the session will go ahead. It can rain on race day too, so we like to prepare our athletes for all conditions. If we do have to cancel a session due to weather, we will notify you via email.
Do I have to wear a heart rate monitor?
Yes! The intensity you train at is extremely important. Heart rate provides an objective way for our coaches to prescribe intensity and to monitor your progress.
What do I need to bring?
Outside your usual running gear, all you need to bring a heart rate monitor and drink bottle.
