About Rui Yong

Soh Rui Yong (born August 6, 1991) is a Singaporean track and field athlete who competes in middle and long distance events, ranging from the 5,000m to the marathon.

He won the gold medal in the marathon at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in 2015 and repeated the feat in 2017. Rui Yong currently holds the Singapore national record for the 10,000m and the fastest marathon time by a Singaporean on a certified course.

He represented his country in 2012, 2014 and 2016 at the World Half Marathon Championships.
